6 Months, 6 Countries, 1 God.

My life over the past 6 months has been a complete and utter adventure. God has taken a cracked vessel and has begun mending the brokenness and filling it with His Word, His grace and His love. As my brokenness has been mended, I’ve found that He is able then to pour even more of Himself in me. He then does something even more incredible, taking this broken vessel, He uses it to encourage and uplift those whom I have come into contact with. God truly has showered His grace and love upon me. One thing I have learned is the importance of my testimony. I never quite knew before just how powerful my own story could be. I have been chosen, and used in ways I never would have expected or believed were even possible.

Month 1- 3 // consisted of being a part of A Vision for Life, a summer discipleship programme. And, not only was I a part of it, but I was blessed with the opportunity to be a part of the leadership team. As this programme began, I found myself entirely incompetent and unqualified for the position. But it was then that the Lord showed me His definition of a leader. His heart for me being there was to be completely open and transparent about my life, and about my mistakes, and to use my past failings to encourage the students; which means continuously pointing them back to Jesus.

Month 4 // I found myself studying the Bible daily. I am so blessed to be living in a beautiful village in Hungary, surrounded by young men and women who love the Lord and desire to grow in their love and passion for Him. I have been given opportunity after opportunity to grow in my knowledge of Him through classes and to serve the community around me. I have also been involved in refugee ministries in Budapest, as well as Salzburg.

Month 5 //  the Lord brought me out to Paphos, Cyprus. I was provided a way to go to the Middle Eastern Mission’s Conference, there. During my stay, I was so incredibly blessed to serve in children’s ministry the entire week, teaching and being an example to them. He brought joy to my soul, daily, with their little characters and the  hearts they have, to learn about Jesus. Throughout my time, I was continuing my studies, growing even closer to Him, each and every day.

Month 6 // I was then blessed with the opportunity to do a 10 day mission’s outreach to Mukachevo, Ukraine. Here the Lord taught me that serving Him means faithfully turning to Him daily and walking in the works prepared for me, beforehand. Whether it meant cleaning toilets, or leading worship, I definitely got more than I had bargained for. Not only did I partake in the experience of a lifetime, doing things I never expected I’d ever be doing, but therein I found a family. Right now, more than ever, I have a passion for the Lord. I am inspired and enthralled by what I have seen Him do. So much more am I now prone to seek Him out in everything. Looking back at His past promises, I know that I am able to trust Him in the times to come.

Month 7 // is an adventure yet to come. On December 11th, I will be flying to Amman, Jordan. The door has been opened for me to serve alongside the Billings family for 40 days.

I am blessed to be able to walk step by step with my Lord. He has carried me through each moment and He will continue to do so in the years to come. Please pray for His protection over me, and for the ministry I will be a part of, in Jordan. Please pray also for His provision in my life, so that I might continue studies here at the Bible College. A commonly asked question here is, “What is your calling?” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says this, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” With each season comes a new opportunity, with each opportunity, I discover even more that His love remains strong. My mission for this season of my life, and also for those to follow, is to cling even greater still to His promises, continuing to be moulded and shaped into His image.
